Summary

 The Human Resource/Administration Intern's role will be to assist in identifying, designing and developing processes and/or propose curriculum for Light of Life employees. The intern will be introduced to the organizational processes utilized by Light of Life and make proactive suggestions to increase effectiveness of processes. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with staff on a variety of projects.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop training curriculum.
  • Develop ratings to structured interview questions based on responses, and test results.
  • Further develop an accessible employee handbook to use for New Hire Orientation.
  • Assist in developing a structured Light of Life internship program.
  • Assist in developing internal culture evaluation metrics.
  • Identify ways to increase participation in mentoring and peacemaking trainings.
  • Identify ways to continue to focus on our culture.
  • Plan internal community building activities.
  • Assist in other HR projects and Administration as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Student working toward a BA or BS in a relevant field
  • Strong verbal/written skills
  • Self-starter with organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take initiative in providing new ideas to improve process efficiencies that support HR goals
  • Ability to see big picture strategy, but also have the organizational and relational skills to bring those projects to fruition
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and desktop publishing; Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and After Effects a plus.
